The Maiden Heist is a comedy film directed by Peter Hewitt and starring Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, William H. Macy, and Marcia Gay Harden. It was produced under the working title The Lonely Maiden. It had a tentative release date of May 29, 2009 before being shelved following the bankruptcy of its distributor, Yari Film Group. It debuted at the Edinburgh International Film Festival June 25, 2009 and was released to DVD on October 27, 2009. It was shot primarily in Boston, MA, and several scenes were filmed at the Worcester Art Museum, in Worcester, Massachusetts.
